Maryborough Toy and Special Needs Library - 41st year of operation

The Maryborough Toy and Special Needs Library moved to the 239 Lennox Street location in 1986.
The Maryborough Toy and Special Needs Library started in a small room out the back of the Maryborough Library, over 40 years ago. Last year staff celebrated its 40th birthday with the community. The Toy Library started as part of the Maryborough Jaycees. Founders include Ruth Barnes and Lesley Cairns.

The service has catered for children including those with special needs for many years. In 1986 the Library moved out of Maryborough Library into new premises.  Kerrie Hunsley who recently retired was at the library for 30 years. Although the library flooded in 2012 and 2013, it has continued to offer a vast variety of resources to the community.

This library has been serving the needs of the community for over  40 years and will carry on doing so.

The opening hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 1pm to 4.30pm
Wednesday 10am to 4.30pm
Saturday 9am to 12noon

The Toy and Special Needs Library have many educational resources available for members.
